Optional testing:

  •  FeLV/FIV testing – Feline leukemia and Feline immunodeficiency virus are contagious, incurable diseases in cats. FeLV is easily passed from cat to cat through contact with saliva, urine, and respiratory secretions. Kittens can become infected with FeLV from mothers in the womb or in the first days of life. FIV is also infectious, but transmission is often a result of a fight or deep penetrating bite. Cats that spend time outdoors are at increased risk of exposure to these diseases. New cats being introduced to a new home should be tested before introductions to

prevent infection.
